worse foamy urine

According to Google, there are lots of possible reasons for foamy urine:
Dehydration: Concentrated urine from not drinking enough water can appear foamy.
Rapid urination: A strong urine stream from a full bladder can create bubbles.
Toilet cleaning products: Chemicals in the toilet bowl can react with urine and cause foam.
Proteinuria (excess protein in urine): Can indicate kidney damage from conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, or kidney disease.
Certain medications: Some medications, particularly those for blood pressure, can cause proteinuria as a side effect.
Strenuous exercise: Intense physical activity can temporarily increase protein in urine, leading to foamy appearance.
Urinary tract infections (UTIs): In some cases, UTIs can contribute to foamy urine.
Autoimmune disorders: Conditions like lupus can cause kidney damage and proteinuria.
To my knowledge, a consistent eGFR of 96 may suggest your kidneys are working well: mine has hovered between 32-44 for years. Talk to your kidney consultant about this at your next appointment; or ring the helpline at either the National Kidney Federation (NKF) or Kidney Care UK.
in October my gfr was 101 then in January was 96,what's bothering me now is irregular heart beats and shuddering and pounding sensations ,I am on the waiting list for a gp appointment God knows when that will be the way things are here at the moment.
Both my old and new GP surgeries have a daily system of saving some appointments for urgent issues, but it depends on getting through as soon as their phone line opens. So I start at 7.55 a.m. and keep dialling continuously until the line is free...usually, I can get an appointment the same day.
In my view, if the GP can't see you, cardiac arrhythmia and palpitations are urgent enough that you should consider going to A&E (get someone to drive you there and when possible stay with you, or take a cab). If the booking staff consider you need immediate care, you'll get seen very quickly. If not, you may have to wait 9 hours or more - I did last year - but you will see someone eventually. Dress warmly; take a blanket, a hot thermos drink and some food. And if when you get to A&E all the chairs are full, don't be shy to tell the staff you're feeling very ill and need to sit down. My experience was that when staff called for anyone who wasn't a patient (i.e. companions) to give up their seat, half the sitters stood up and their chairs became free! Very best of luck, Radars.
Oh, and try conscious deep breathing - it helps to control the anxiety that a pounding heart can cause!
Spilling protien isnt always from kidney dis-functioning...you may just be consuming too much protien
GFR stands for Glomerular Filtration Rate, e for estimated. It measures how well your kidneys are filtering creatine and everything else from your blood. Your low blood creatine and high GFR means your kidney glomerular filtration is fine. The eGFR formula is based on creatinine of creatinine and your age and sometimes something called Cytasin-C. Your creatinine is below the normal range for your age, which is an excellent sign. Pretty much everyone on this forum has a lower eGFR. If you do have kidney disease, your eGFR will continue to fall, but it has a long way to go.
Yes, foam in your urine is caused by protein.
You need to find a doctor who will spend some time with you and help you figure out why you have proteinuria. You are worrying a lot about your health, which is a viscous circle, as worry can make your symptoms worse, cause irregular heart beats, high blood pressure, then you worry more, etc. Please take some slow deep breaths and think of something beautiful.
Best of luck to you. I hope the proteinuria is not caused by anything serious, and that you get it figured out soon! Let us know.
