I’m at eGFR approximately 30 and I would like to purchase test strips to keep track of my protein. I’ve checked Amazon and it seems that the strips all come from foreign countries and the reviews are not good. Does anyone know of quality test strips specifically for protein in the urine? Thanks!

I just received mine. Got them off of Amazon. Search 4+ stars and low to high. Also, Walgreens should have them.
Hi - I've not heard of test strips but would be very interested to know if you do find some good quality ones. I'm in the UK, and because at 81 I've lasted so long without dialysis, the renal team aren't too bothered - they've got dialysis and transplant patients taking up their time. Nor is my new GP interested. So monitoring between annual checks is left to me, and test strips would be ideal. Thanks.
Oh - I've just discovered that Boots in the UK do high quality test strips at a reasonable price!
Hey Pepper in the UK! Congratulations on your successful handling of CKD. My husband, at the age of 84, has a few health issues and we’ve experienced the same attitude. “Hey, you’ve lived this long, go away, we’re busy with younger people!”
And here in the US, six month interval blood tests are just fine with our nephrologists. So I purchase lab orders myself from Life extension every few months so I know how I’m doing. Test strips will add to that when I find good ones. I’m so used to ordering from Amazon that it didn’t occur to me to check out my local drugstore! 😜
Glad you found a source! Continue being a good steward and advocate for your own health.
Thanks again!👍
