I have no protein in my urine but 5-10 RBcs in urine. My creatinine is 1.16 and my efgr is 72.3 according to MDRD formula. Is it ckd? I asked same question from my nephrologist he said no its not ckd but on internet i saw it is ckd 2 range. M much worried 😟 I also feel itchy skin is it due to my kidney issue?

Itchy skin
Just curious, why are you seeing a nephrologist? You are correct, it is stage two but also could be your normal depending on age and other labs. Dry skin can be many things, such as dry skin. In other words, put some lotion on. You do not get itchy skin at stage2 unless your phosphorous is out of control.
It's confusing when the term CKD is applied to all stages when as you said, that might be where someone should be. My phosphorus is in range but in the evenings when I'm sitting watching TV, my legs will start itching on the inside right around my knees. I'll scratch and scratch and eventually have to get the anti itch cream. My lower legs are kinda dry but not where the itching happens. And it's not all the time. Maybe certain foods?
I would see a dermatologist. Things to look at are laundry detergents, certain clothes, foods of course and that maybe a spot where you just have dry skin. I have psoriasis and had eczema. They pick one or two locations to appear.
Can you be allergic to the chair you sit on while watching tv?
Here is a link to eGFR calculation and also relationship to age.
Phosphorus in blood
Trust your Doctor you are absolutely ok. Rgs
I would look at the eGFR using the new CKD-EPI 2021 equation fir creatinine.
According to CKD-EPI equation my egfr is 86, i don't know which equation is better
86 looks better to me 😆.
They have improved the calculation to stop giving low results - the MDRD is over 20 years old, there’s been a 2009 CKDEPI and now a 2021 one since then.
86 looks pretty good to me, it’s only when heading sub 60 things look concerning. I haven’t been above 90 for over 20 years.
