Don't panic. Read books. Start with Learn the Facts about Kidney Disease by Steven Rosansky, MD. He thoroughly covers it in all stages. Although you need to make changes in your life, preserve your remaining kidney function, you're not going to die next week and probably never end up on dialysis. Don't panic. Look into other books about managing kidney disease - avoid the doctors who try to sell you their vitamins, Lee Hull comes to mind as one. I'm not saying that Lee Hall has nothing to offer. That's (research) where you should put your effort or your money.

Don't panic
Thanks sir please suggest me some more books in simple english language
My main interest is CKD with Single kidneys as per my post a day or two ago and this blog ocnutrihealth.com/blog/chro...
As indicated, I believe there are some key differences which I presume the Rosansky book doesnt include (Ive got Lee Hull's).
Please be careful about what you read about CKD. Lee Hull is one that you need to take with a "grain of salt." My nephrologist believes that you need to discuss any so called kidney management program with your doctor before starting anything. Some of these "doctor" authors do not have the experience with medical studies that either support or rule out the results. Just warning you to be careful.
Yep, you are so right! We had a big discussion on this site regarding Hull's book, probably 1-2 years ago. People believed him and spent hundreds of dollars and their CKD was unchanged, in some instances they were worse.
There is no cure for CKD. Once damage is done, it can't be changed. One thing that has helped some stabilize their condition to see a renal dietician and start a kidney healthy diet - eliminate red meat, no added salt and stay hydrated.
I wish I had known about this diet change back in the '90's. I was diagnosed in 1992 and had a kidney transplant in 1999. I am doing great, 24+ years later, thanks to my Hero, my deceased donor Ryan.
Stay well.
