If it's coming back so soon it is probably the same infection which means the antibiotic wasn't strong enough. That happened to me a few times. A friend gave me her cure which worked for me too. Boil two cups of frozen cranberries just until the skins break. Let them cool and eat a bowl in the morning and one in the evening. Also eat a some plain organic yogurt with it

and try to avoid sugar. It usually only took two or three days for the symptoms to disappear.

I also tried D-Mannose and that worked well too, You just have to be sure and take the full dose. I read that most people don't take enough and that's why it fails them.

I had UTI for years and I was precribed Cipro. BAD choice it caused permanent nerve damage and now I have neuropathy in my feet ankles and calves. I was put on a vaginal hormone cream which I use twice a week. I've been on it for a number of years and haven't had a UTI since. Talk to you doctor about it and do not take Cipro antibiotics.

Cipro doesn't work for me, I am not senstive to any of that class of antibiotics. What they should do is a CULTURE then they will know what antibiotic will treat your infection. You can take months of an antibiotic with no results, if you aren't sensitive to it...it won't work. crackers2

It's probably best to go with the natural approach if possible - limiting sugars, using probiotics, hormone creams, etc. Taking prescription antibiotics can lead to antibiotic resistant superbugs like c-diff. (This happened to my hubby when he was on dialysis.) Diabetes, being female, being immunocopromised, and so on can easily bring on a uti. My diabetic hubby, who has since received a transplant, has a "forever uti". It's kept controlled at a very low level with a cranberry probiotic so he doesn't physically notice it. Some use antibiotics long term - which isn't advisable for him. He and his team just keep an eye on it via labs.
