Hi, speak your nephrologist first, however should not more than 0,2-0,3 gr per Kg of body weight. rgs
The amount of protein is something your nephrologist and maybe a renal dietician should be determining. There are many factors that have to be looked at. Too much, and it's not good, too little and you can have muscle wasting.
yes ask your doctor I know I was cutting out protein and my nephrologist said why are you doing that , don’t do that he said I needed protein , I thought I was doing something good for me so it taught me to always bring my questions to my nephrologist .
l agree with all the post answers below. Keep in mind that the type of protein
You eat makes a difference to kidney health, ex: red meat is not the best choice. I would get advise on the amount and also the best source for your diet and preserving your kidney function.
hello, my doctor told me to eat “plant based protein,” I’m not on a limit but I have been told to not eat protein with every meal.
I see a positive difference when I eat no meat. I do eat fish… my doc told me to aim for 50 -60 grams a day of protein. I’m stage 4
Thx for the conversation
