I having my right kidney removed Friday. I am also having Whipple surgery for a pancreatic tumor. Two weeks ago I had a permacath out in for dialysis,( my left kidney isn’t working) the permacath site got infected and it was taken out. Now they will place a temporary one during surgery. I just wanna say, I’m scared out if my skin. Any positive thoughts and or prayers would mean the world to me. I am 52 years old. And not ready for this!

You've got my prayers. Creator God, thank you that you are my strength and my song, you fill my heart with joy. The Bible says that all who are weary and burdened, should come to you, and you will give rest. Please help rubysmom to rest as they approach surgery. Your yoke is easy and your burden is light. Please help rubysmom to have a smooth and successful operation, and help them to have peace and joy their my heart. May grace, mercy, and tranquility be with them, from God the Father and from Jesus Christ the Son, in truth and love. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.

Hi rubysmom. While all our experiences look different, we all know about stress, anxiety and uncertainty. Know that you are not alone. There is a community behind you and I pray you receive great care and that you experience God's peace and strength and strong support from those around you in this journey. My kidneys failed at 46 and it was hard not to feel discouraged, but all the love and support helped me weather it.

Have you look into PD dialysis with a catheter in the abdomen? uch less stressful than hemo. God Bless you. He will see you through this. Prayers for recovery, my dear. It is hard to accept health issues if this was sudden. I had time to get over my denial and anxiety. Joining a church, and talking to God throughout the day and giving thanks helps me. I also take antidepressants.
