Can someone post the USDA website again that has the food tracker? Thanks in advance
Food tracker : Can someone post the USDA... - Kidney Disease
Food tracker
I'm not where I can access that directly but if you go to usda.gov you'll get to the main website. Once there you'll see their Menu, click on that and enter Super Tracker and it will come up.
Thanks, but i tried that and it said that the Super Tracker was discontinued in 6/2018. i know they have a food tracker on the site as I was on it yesterday, but i can't seem to pull it up again today. No problem. I've had the website in an earlier email. I'll just forge thru them later and see if I can find it. There is so much information out there, but still most of it can be confusing. Eat tomatoes, don't eat tomatoes; eat green beans, don't eat green beans. Right now, I'm relying on portion control, but I'm still doing fairly well with all the "chemicals." While my kidney doctor only said limit sodium for now, I'm charting all the key items just to get an idea of what I've been eating. I'm amazed that I never did this before. Again thanks and have a lovely day.
Getting back to the gov site for food tracker: I wonder if you caught the gov site that DadviceTV provided in one of the replies. fdc.nal.usda.gov Its the one that I was looking for and its very good. Very decent phosphorus numbers. Been busy and could not get back to you sooner. Just doing a BP log and food tracking is taking so long. But, each time it gets a little easier. Best
I had that information at home. When I answered your post I was in a doctor's waiting room and didn't have access all of my files. Glad you got the site you were looking for.
I found this food tracker from AAKP and is a PDF that gives you the information for tracking foods for CKD diet

I could not find the one for USDA.
Thanks so much for this infor
An excellent reference source. I will share this food tracker with my diet doctor and registered dietician. I also am also bookmarking and printing a copy for my personal reference, to help me with prepairing my daily diet log. Thank you so much orangecity41 for this food tracker reference and drmind for asking.
Here you go: fdc.nal.usda.gov
About 2 years ago they consolidated all of the different databases they use into this new one and added an interface for third parties to access it. Many popular food tracking apps have been updated to take advantage of this new, more complete database.
