I'm stage 3b due to chronic kidney infections causing "inflammatory changes." I take activated Vit B6, antioxidants, sodium bicarb and get prolonged sun exposure (Vit D). My immune system doesn't seem to be compromised. I caught my first cold in years and it was super mild and only lasted 3 days. But I keep getting boils in various places and it's such a drag. Anyone experience this?

Chronic boils anyone?
I definitely don’t get books. Have you talked with your Primary Care Physician about them?

No.... CKD is a risk factor but I have almost no other symptoms. I do have slight anemia which isn't noticeable. Without a crea test I wouldn't even know I had CKD. My kidneys remove up to 5 liters per day and manage electrolytes perfectly. I do get a little protein in my urine.... Crea 2.4.
I've read everything I can find. Boils don't seem to be as common in CKD as the literature suggests.
Boils are caused by an infection of hair follicles. Here is an article webmd.com/skin-problems-and....
Are you absolutely sure they are boils?
Yeah... they are definitely boils. I'm stocking up on antibiotic ointment as it helps somewhat.
Did you read the article I posted? It had some good info in it. Do you hot pack it to get it to drain? Some doctors say yes to this some say absolutely not, so be careful if you do. You can have it lanced also, which is what most doctors do nowadays.
Here is one to help prevent them once they go away. hse.ie/eng/health/az/b/boil...
