Improving my results
Hi Ricardito,
the best thing you can do is improve your diet. Since you did not list your actually information, I hesitate to recommend anything. Make an appointment with a renal dietician who can make recommendations specifically for you. In general, if you are stage 3-4, here are some basic guidelines:
1. Eat out infrequently. You have less control over your food choices.
2. No fast foods
3. No process foods such as frozen dinners or packaged products
3. Less meat the better, chicken and fish still have high potassium, eat sparingly
4. 1-2 cups of coffee and use real crème not non-dairy
5. Lots of water up to 2 liters unless told by the doctor to drink less or more
6. Incorporate more whole foods in your diet: vegetables and fruits
7. Little to no alcohol especially beer One glass of wine might be ok
8. Cook without salt. You will get used to it and then eating stuff with salt will taste bad
9. Do not take supplements, OTC drugs or other without checking with the doctor first.
10. Take cooking classes if available on kidney diets. There are classes on the intranet as will as maybe by your local Kidney Foundation davita.com/education/kidney...

Try CBD oil we did and it worked?
I have been taking Chitosan for awhile now. Didn’t see improvement in creatinine til I upped the dosage. Now it has gone down the past 2 labs. Just had labs waiting for results.
Where can i get Chitosan?
I'd like to know more about actual use and results by CKD folks. Does anyone have evidence that its not harmful??
It hasn’t harmed me and I’ve been taking it quite a while now
Has it helped?
Yes it has
I'm true believers in CBD oil it has helped my son move from stage kidney failure to normal blood test in 6 months! (Stage 5 kidney failure)
Can I ask if your son takes a phosphorus binder. I tried CBD oil and my phosphorus went up, wasn’t sure if the CBD oil interferes with the binder or not
No he has not taken any meds since September 2018, we were getting ready to start dialysis then his numbers began to improve so his doctors waited and every month they improved more. He takes 35mg under his tongue daily. We use the oil you only can take by mouth not the kind you can take by mouth or vape. That is the only CBD products we use. Today no meds at all only vitamins!
Pain medication and proton inhibitors [nexium] taken regularly for long periods of time will lower your GFR numbers.
