Patient has CKD..creatinine level 4.2.. and granular casts has been detected in urine..can anyone please explain me what is granular cast and how to treat it.

Urinary casts are tiny tube-shaped particles that can be found during a urinalysis when viewed under a microscope. They can include both red and white blood cells, and other substances like fat or protein. Hope that helps.

I can't make either prognosis or diagnosis. Now that you know what it is you should do is ask your Urologist those questions. If the test was done by your PCP, then ask for a referral to see one. A urologist should be an important member of your Care Team.
