Addison's Disease and stage 4 CKD and several other autoimmune disorders

does anyone on this site have stage four kidney disease GFR 22, Cadden 3.4 along with Addison’s disease and several other auto immune if anyone has any of these or have any recommendations for treatment I would greatly appreciate any advice. I am also prediabetic A1A is 5.7 which is still good, at least I’m not full diabetic yet thank God but I know it’s coming understand it’s a progression of kidney disease and of Addison’s disease. I try my best to follow the renal diet but it’s very difficult. I am 55 years old and told by my nephrologist that Addison’s will be the death of me she doesn’t give me more than 10 years at this point again looking for any advice from anyone who may have Addison’s or kidney disease stage four

so what is the cause of CKD? This is not something you typically get from Addison’s.

Hi Kristin I have Addison’s through taking steroids for long period at high doses for my MCTD an autoimmune disease. I also have diabetes which currently is diet managed. I have stage 3 kidney disease and a variety of problems the worst being metabolic acidosis which makes breathing difficult. I am 70 and have had these illnesses a long number of years although the acidosis is recent, I should not take too much notice of your prognosis just keep as well as you can and wish you all the best.

I take prednisone for lupus. I've responded well to the kidney diet though. I echo what Mogmog said , don't take the prognosis to heart, keep doing all you can.

Hi I'm 56 & have stage 4 ckd & addisions disease plus numerous other immune illnesses. My auto immune illness turned catastrophic & attacked my kidneys & adrenal glands. I am currently in hospital after an adrenal crisis noe. I've only been diagnosed for a year so am trying to understand it all too.
