My creatinine is 1.56, gfr is 63, bp is normal.i am diabetic but controlled. My health provider is giving me nefrosave forte twice in a day.my ultrasound report - mildly increased cortical ecogenicity in both kidney and both kidney are normal in size.
What should I do more to cure my kidney ?Is there any alternative therapy or medicine ?Please suggest.

I had to look up nefrosave and I am not sure why you doctor is giving this to you for kidney disease. I would ask them. As far as curing you kidney issue, there is no CURE for kidney disease, but there are multiple things you can do to preserve you kidney function that you do have. For you, the best thing you can do is maintain good glucose control.

I worked with mucomyst(nefrosave) as a respiratory therapist. It's an interesting drug.
