I would be concerned as well. First of all, I have never heard of anyone being too young to take BP meds. I know lots of people who started on BP meds at an early age. Not protecting your kidneys from the issues caused by high blood pressure ( and it does not have to be that high to cause issues) is very disconcerting. I think you need to get a second opinion.BP that is constantly over 140/90 is considered high but even at 130/80 is high enough to do something about.
Something else to consider..... how much water, and I mean only water, do you drink during the day. The cramps and other issues you are having may be related to being dehydrated. Try to consume up to two liters a day and see how you feel.
Labs need to be drawn which include more than just creatinine. Did they do a full workup for the kidney? Also, did they look for stones in the kidney? You said your kidney was injured but what does that mean? Was there damage done like a tear or bleeding?
I would keep chipping away at the causes of your pain and urine output. Take it in steps:
Find out if your BP needs medication. Find out if you have stones. Increase your water intake. Do not take Ibuprofen for pain. It can really damage the kidneys. Seek more medical advice.
The previous lab work on my kidney was on April last year both liver function test all came normal before I had the kidney injury on October last year then I was able do urinalysis which came out with protein in urine with BP 145/90 I was ask to take sleeping pills as I may not be having enough sleep, on November I repeated the test there was still protein in urine and my blood urea was high 64, creatinine 1.4, on January this year I went to see a nephrologist she wrote three test for me to do serum creatinine, pelvic abdominal ultrasound scan and Urography with contrast dys they all came out normal my creatinine result was 0.7 others were good, since last week I noticed that my urine output have reduce I pee more at night than day time with frothy urine and insomnia my legs too aside from cramps looks big than they were before maybe start swelling or so my foot is always painful especially my calcaneus produce pin like pain back and flank pain also really don't know what else to do, I'm not diabetic although I have family history of it my current BP 125/86 have also stop all the stressnous exercise I use to do like weight lifting and others I don't smoke not on any OTC drugs.
