Kidney stone/ surgery

Hello,

I am new to this forum but I was wondering has anyone had the ‘zapping surgery’ for kidney stones?

I am due to have a session of it in 2 weeks but I am nervous and wondering what I am due to expect?

Also wondering what others have done to help themselves (if you have had this symptom) of nausea and vomiting... I cant handle it, just happen..

Hi Tia,

I had six very big kidney stones in my right kidney. I was told they would never pass because they were too big. I was also told I could not have the "zapping" treatment because of a condition called Factor V Leiden that I have. It causes blood clots and I am on blood thinners for it. So I was put on Allopurinol. Luckily for me, it dissolved the stones eventually, but the damage was done from being in there.
