It is normal to still have some discomfort especially if they had to take several attempts at getting a biopsy as your kidneys have to repair them selves. If there's no blood in your urine keep an eye on it, but if your worried at all do contact the unit where you had it done. There's nothing worse than worrying and they won't mind you checking.
Thank you for your reply. They took 3 samples so I figured I would be sore for a while. If it keeps up I will definitely contact the hospital. Thank you!
My husband just had this done and he is on day 4 and says his side is so sore and hurts to walk. He said the procedure wasn’t bad and right after he was hospitalized and stuck in bed so this is the 1st time he’s been up doing stuff .... he just heard a pop in his back so he went home .... he only lasted 3 hours at work.
Let your doctor know if it persists. A week does seem like too long to still have symptoms. For peace of mind, I would call the doctor. But it is common to have a little bit of bleeding at the site of the biopsy. That us why they have you lie flat for at least an hour after. I had a lot of pain when I first got up from the biopsy but resolved over time.
