Newbie who has just cut the strings off her yoyo

Hi everyone

Just joined with ending a lifetime of yoyoing with various diets. Hoping to just eat healthily and lose the weight. I have also just been made redundant and I am in need of a bucket full of confidence to get out there again.

Looking forward to chatting. Have 8 stone to lose

Lovely picture of you and your daughter(?). What did you do to have crutches, though? Hope recovery is quick. Best of luck and welcome!

in reply to DRS54

Hi DRS thank you, it's my great neice. The crutches are for my knee replacement that has loosened and gone squiffy after a few falls. Surgeon waiting to see if it sorts it's self out or needs re-doing. Losing weight will help big time

Good luck!

Welcome Soobeez :-) you will find that there are loads of us in the same position as you. Paying out thousands of pounds to weight loss companies and never really keeping the weight off. The NHS plan doesn’t involve any ‘free food’ gimmicks, just plain old common sense. Everything that you eat and drink must be accounted for.

Although it might appear that starting a new ‘diet’ when you’ve just been made redundant is hard. Turn it round and make this a time to start creating a new you. Things can only get better (I’m going to have that song in my head now - lol). Good luck x

Hi Soobeez and welcome!! read thru all the good info YellowRose55 gave you and be happy! I love to chat and am here weird hours ( I live in Texas ) so feel free to chat me if you need to. if you hang out with us, you will lose weight. hang out, read, post and follow the wonderful advice given. be careful the cals you choose to follow, most try the low end but I use the high end for me (1800 to 1900) as I will cheat if it try to use the low end. good luck!
