Not a usual entry or activity for me tonight but it certainly stopped me snacking! We’ve got the most incredible light show in Durham this weekend called Lumiere. So we wrapped the toddler up and put on our bobble hats to go and see the lights. Here are some of the best photos I took. Xx

Thank you! Not as good as previous years but the good ones were incredible. The house bottom left was like a baby Mobile hanging over the river. And the moon was supposed to talk... xx
I've seen it advertised on BBC Look North over the last couple of nights (as I type, it's featuring again). Compared to the recent illuminations on the sea front, the Lumiere festival truly is a world apart.
Given this evening's clear skies and crisp outdoor temperature, it was certainly a perfect night to wrap up warm, head out and enjoy the lights.
It really is brilliant, you should go if you can. As I said before not as good as previous years in my opinion but still some excellent installations and a nice excuse for a walk. X
Due to prior commitments this weekend, I'm afraid I'll miss this year's show, but hope to visit when it returns again. Nonetheless, it's great to hear that you saw it as a perfect excuse to head outdoors this evening.
