Fed up today

Hi everyone usually I am so upbeat when I write a post but I have honestly been calorie counting and walking a lot counting my steps etc and I just weighed myself and I haven't changed one bit, I haven't even been having wine every night so I don't know why I haven't done very well. I will weigh in properly on Monday my actual weigh in day and keep my 🀞 fingers crossed but I am also fed up with this weather so depressing rain I know is good for my garden but please enough is enough!!

I hope everyone else has a good day and sorry for having a moan πŸ˜•πŸ˜•

Hi Kim, don't give up yet, because Monday is a while away and anything can happen between now and then.

What is your personal calorie allowance? I believe you're aiming for 1400, but that's a generic amount and not necessarily the correct amount for you. Eating too little can be as detrimental to weight loss, as eating too much.

Keep plugging away, because it takes some of us a little bit longer to get the pounds shifting, than others.

We're all rooting for you! :)

I know exactly how you feel I was in the same position as you. I started walking and exercising more and always kept in my calories. My weight seemed to stay the same for weeks. This week I lost 2 lb at last so I hope it means my body has got used to the new regime at last.

Hi Kim, as you say, you are normally upbeat so it's sad to see you feeling down.

Have you been taking measurements? Our bodies don't always lose weight but adjust shape as well. I had a period when that was the case.

You're sticking to the formula that was working for you when you were losing weight (calories and exercise) so don't be concerned and keep doing what you're doing.

It can seem scary but you'll be fine.

Hi Kim, you are doing all the right things and it will pay off. Just keep it going as moreless says.

Keep your spirits up - but not in the glass - and keep going. I am a "reluctant maintainer" as well, but one day my body will realise I mean to lose weight and will do so! Could be you are just not as dehydrated as when you drink alcohol, but the fat is still disappearing. Measuring, as others have suggested, might give you the good news, especially in the "in-between" places - my waist and hips don't change, but the fat roll in the middle seems to be getting flatter.

I was in the same boat as you last week - doing everything I was meant too, it yo-yoing each week.

Don't feel down, just keep going :)

I upped my exercise a little, and it seems to have made all the difference.

And, like Tigerr said, you may be just sliming down without the scales changing.

I hope you feel more positive soon! πŸ’š
