24 weeks!

Hi everyone,

I have just weighed myself on Week 24. I have now lost 3 stones and 13lbs and am very happy with that. I also have found out that my BMI has been reduced by 10 points which makes me very happy.

It hasn't always been easy, but I have to say that the benefits far outweigh everything else. I have been able to have meals out, go on holiday and eat ice cream every day, and even have some birthday cake! I just go back to being sensible afterwards and don't panic to much. 😊

When I started my weight loss journey I had really painful arthritis in my knees and hips and that has improved so much that I am almost at the point where I'm going to say I don't have arthritis!

I now try and walk at least 4 miles a day, and I'm trying to do 5km a day on the exercise bike, even though I still hate it!!

I feel so much better being four stones lighter. I have lots of new clothes (which are getting big as well now) 😊

People have told me how well I look which is nice. I feel like I've come a long way. I have a long way to go, but I feel I'm kind of half way - if I can lose another four stones I would be so happy.

I have tried to lose weight before over the last 20 odd years, but get so far and give up and put it all back on again and more. So, this time, that's not going to happen. I WILL do it this time.

I love reading all the posts on here and joining in with the posts when I get time. Thanks to everyone on here for your wonderful stories, advice and encouragement.

Here's looking forward to the next 12 weeks......and to our first grandchild who will be here by then all being well. πŸ’•β€οΈπŸ’•πŸ˜Š

Sorry for the long post....

I was going to ask you if you'd like to claim a weight loss Badge for your achievements - you qualify for a 3 stone one, but you're on the cusp of qualifying for a 4 stone one - I don't know if you'd like a badge, but please let either me or moreless know, if you'd like one. :-)
