Hi all as the title suggests I'm new ! I'm here because I need just a little support and encouragement from outside.
A little about me
I'm 37 have two children, one 21 and one 9, and a 18 month old grandson so s you can imagine life is pretty hectic. I have osteoarthritis in my knees and back and clicks hips, yay me thanks family blood line. I'm needing another operation on my knee due to snapping my acl, I'm so lucky I've managed to snap both, but they cancelled my last op because my bmi was 41.7 and the max at this hospital is 40! I stared at 117.4kg and I weigh today 115.3kg this has been so hard for me as my activity levels are low and I have depression so I comfort eat. I need to loose another 2.3kg by the 30th September or my next op will be cancelled again which I do not want. Ideally I would like to loose another 35.3kg but let's take it one step at a time shall we ! Anyway I'm looking forward to speaking to you all and any helpful rid are most definitely welcome

Wishing you a very warm welcome to the Weight loss NHS forum. It's lovely to read about you, and I hope you'll enjoy being part of this community - it's a friendly and supportive place for weight loss. I'd recommend reading our Welcome Newbie post, which is in the Pinned posts area (right-hand-side of the homepage). There are quite a few tips and suggestions in there, and also details of what's available in the forum.
Hope you'll join in with any Challenges you like the look of - they are also in the Pinned posts area, and below that is the Events section, where you can find the latest Monday group weigh-in thread. Please join us in there, if you'd like to participate in a weekly weigh-in. You'd be very welcome.
Whatever you do, have a lovely week. I'd recommend the NHS 12 week plan as a really helpful structure and it's especially good if you sign up for E-mail support.
