Still going strong!

Since Friday I now weigh 10st 8lbs, waist 35ins. That's a further pound lost so am ahead of my target for September which means, if I can maintain this then by my 75th birthday in October I will have reached my October end target, let alone September. I am so pleased. The real catalyst has been a post by one of you saying that slimming half-heartedly (which I've done for 25 years) is as hard as doing it properly and sticking to it. Either do it properly or accept the extra pounds and that there wasn't much of an argument for the "half-way house of a couple of good days, a couple of bad days, repeated over and over". I found this message so motivational that I've borne it in mind ever since. So yet again, I thank you, whoever you are, for such pragmatic, sensible and glaringly obvious advice that has pulled me up by the bootstraps. So have a good week everyone...and thank you once again.

  • Thank you very much. The rewards I am reaping are feeling more comfortable in my clothes and having some positive and unsolicited remarks made by family members. I suppose that for my age I am quite active anyway though clearly I could do very much more in that area! But, at present I feel OK about that, so I wish you well with whatever issue has brought you to this forum.
