Joining in!

Hi im Chris, i first posted in the monday weigh in 7 weeks ago tho i noticed i joined last year! So i thought it was about time i joined in the chat! Well im a 44 year old mum of 2, first started trying to get fit last september by doing zumba classes. Earlier this year i realised i had to sort out my diet, so i have been playing about with clean eating and calorie counting and have lost 10lb in 7 weeks! I try to exercise daily during the week and have a golden lab who needs a lot of walks. I have been doing home dvds such as jillian michaels 30 day shred and jessica smith on youtube and last week i felt confident enough to join a gym with lots of classes. Also my husband and i started week 1 of couch to 5k last week so we are starting week 2 tonight.

Will try to join in more but have been reading a lot of posts over the last few weeks which have inspired me xx

    Great that you've posted! It's good to join in, and I know you originally joined a year ago. Time can fly can't it!!!? Glad you're joining in the chat though.

    I've also got the 30 day shred, and I was doing it for a while, but not for a few months. I'm using a DVD by Bob harper at the moment which is 25 minutes or so on core conditioning and I've been finding that good currently. I only do it once or twice a week. I really like Jillian Michaels though - she is very motivating.

    Great that you've joined a gym, and you and your husband are doing the Couch to 5k. Maybe join in our Tortoise & Hare threads, which moreless is posting. Talking of which, I've not checked out that thread today, so I'm going to pop over now, as it's a really good thread.

  • Hi Lowcal thanks for your reply. i have just booked a low impact conditioning class at the gym tomorrow morning, slightly scared now!

  • Hi charliejack well done for getting started on posting and welcome to the forum :-) it's great that you have decided to start posting as there is lot's of support on here that can benefit you. Well done on losing 10lbs in 7 weeks, Great achievement hun :-) I absolutely love Jillian Michael's on the biggest loser and her 30 day shred DVD is equally as good.

    Can I just say as well, Well done for joining the gym, Yeah !! :-) super cool love the gym, love walking and love running. I joined the gym early on, on my journey and it made such a difference to my weight loss.
