Welcome! I've got a lot to lose as well. Lack of mobility doesn't have to stop us though. We just have to be more careful about what we eat and be more creative about exercise. Good luck!

I was on crutches last summer after a long wait for surgery 😕 I gained even more weight on an akready overweight body 😕 Slowly and surely I have lost the pounds and progressed to sticks and then just a ski pole on uneven ground, 😊And through careful eating have lost almost three stone 😊

It can be done, 😊😊😊 good luck and very best wishes

Good luck Hev lots of people talk about the benefits of movement and exercise to support weight loss increase muscle tone etc. There will be some exercises you could do and will benefit you even if you are on crutches however calorie intake will always have a much bigger impact. Gradual controlled calorie reduction and healthy eating will take those three stone off. I have lost two stone now though I was naughty this weekend and put a couple back on! I am 62 and thought I would really struggle I have s dodgy knee and prone to back pain. I am sure you can do it a pound a week at first then a a couple of pounds a month. I have set December as my goal and started in June stay focused keep it fun plan meals in advance 👍🏽

Hi and welcome. I also have been on crutches for 3 years because of medical conditions. I am also trying my hardest to loose weight. It is so easy to put the weight on, because like myself, you have been restricted by health problems. It can be done, just keep telling yourself that you can do it. I have lost 6lb in the last four weeks, so it is slowly coming of but still have quite a bit to loose. Good luck

You must keep at it Hev1. It will be difficult for you to exercise with your health issue but have you thought of Chair Yoga? I started 3 weeks ago now and am pleased I did as it kickstarted my latest effort and to date have lost 3lbs since then (and watching calories of course!) and although some of my group session is standing, some are in chair also. At the end some relaxation also sitting in chair. Good luck but never give up, you are worth it!
