New member. Diet starts tomorrow. :-)

Hi I'm new to this. I've allowed 2st to creep on over the last 2yrs I now weigh 12st :-( I'd like to lose that 2st by the end of the year but not sure if that's achievable. I've got a wardrobe full of size 10 clothes I can't get in to there's no excuse I just haven't been able to motivate myself. The diet was supposed to be my 2015 New Year resolution and I'm no further forward! I stumbled apon this forum and I'd appreciate any tips and encouragement. Many Thanks.

Hi Presley,

Cheer up, anything's possible. If you decide to follow the NHS 12 week plan, it's designed for a weekly weight loss of 1-2lbs. With 14 weeks to the new year you might just make it :)

It's all about positive thinking and feeding off the love from the forum, rather than sticky buns :)

I'm only on week one but i've looked at the NHS 12 week plan and downloded MyFitnessPal and I've found both useful! Good luck and if you set your mind to it I'm sure you can achieve what you set out to do!

I log on to this daily too as I find it motivating :)

I do too. I log on to remind myself that I am not alone and that others are trying to lose weight on the same journey, it really helps!

I started the NHS 12 week plan at 12st1 and lost 19lbs in the 12 weeks, if that gives you an idea of what's possible. I'm now back into my size 12s, which is exactly where I wanted to be, and onto maintaining, to make sure it doesn't go back on again :)

12 weeks from now is December 15th. If you get not to the NHS 12 week plan you will probably be really happy with the outcome! Its an opportunity to learn about you, food, your nutrition, exercise and how it all relates together.

Use the forum to get help advice and learn from the experience of others. Use it well and you'll be fine! I aim to lose 1KG a week and thats a goal that has turned out to be fairly achievable, and over time the KGs add up.

Well you have found the right place for help! I am on week three and I started at 12 St 9lbs. I too don't know how I got there but like you I would love to be able to shift two stone by the end of the year. Let's make it happen!
