Long time no post!

I haven't even been lurking silently ... More fool me! I have gained back a few pounds so have decided to refocus, it's so easy to slip back into old habits!

Now that the children are back at school I have decided to get back to the plan - well back to cognitive eating, rather than just eating everything I see!

I have also decided to shake up the exercise, I've kept up the running and dancing over the summer, but have begun the application process for joining a gym!! Wish me luck!!

    I'm definitely with you on the old habits!!! Wish I was never introduced to chocolate, ice cream and biscuits (these are my downfalls (oh n alcohol!!)

    Its good that you have decided to try again. I'm exactly same, now that my little girl is back at school I'm back into my routine, walking to school, set meals, less snacking, school nights so less drinking!!

    Well done for keeping up the exercise and good luck on the gym too!! I think joining the gym is a very big commitment.

    We've missed you!!! Glad you're back. You sound very positive, and determined to re-focus and get back on track. Great that you've kept up with your running and dancing over the summer, and hope your gym application goes through quickly so you can make a start there too.

  • Thanks Ruth, I've had a really good (and busy) summer ... I encouraged my 12year old son to give C25k a go - he loved it and completed week 7 (25mins non stop running) by the end of the holidays πŸ‘ it was a really cool thing to do together and I'm very proud of him, it also ensured I got out running 3 times a week and I just treated it like interval training πŸ‘πŸ‘

  • That's so cool. I've been trying to convince friends to do c25k, but so far no luck. One friend's son said let's go out to do it now, and I realised maybe I'd mentioned something she'd never hear the end of. Funny how kids take to running so much easier. I should have started running years ago. Feels natural now, and yes it's going well here too :)
