Getting Started

I am starting the Weight Loss programme, my start date is Monday 13th, thank goodness it's not a Friday, so I am spending time getting everything in place. Does any one know if there is a printable chart to record daily intake so I can keep a track of my calories?

Hi and Welcome.

The best way to record calories most have found is to create an account at myfitnesspal.com/ and either use your browser and/or download the phone app and record and track your food there as they have quite an extensive database of foods already. Once you are used to it, it's very quick and easy, maybe practice over the weekend before Monday?

Good Luck with your journey :)

Thank you I will have a look at this, I think I had used it way back, when I was on a previous mission. :)

Hi I've just decided to start the programme on Monday 13th too so I shall be keeping an eye on your progress and posts. I've looked at the NHS downloadable 12 week programme and I think I'm going to follow that one. Good Luck (we'll need it!)

Hi Cola-Cubes - we can start the journey together, I have 67llbs to lose :) they won't be very happy when I chuck them away.....I have set up two jars one with 67 beads in and an empty one, each bead represents a llb, I hope to swop them into the empty jar as quickly as possible. Thinking positive thoughts.

I havent worked out how many lbs i need to loose yet but I like the idea about the beads - one for every pound - I might try that one too. I'm going to enjoy a bar of chocolate tonight and enjoy every mouthful because I'm going to try not to have any for a month and then only as a treat. Look forward to catching up with you next week.

Hi, I am starting on Monday too,so let's see how we get on.Not looking forward to having to count calories. That is a brilliant idea Cola Cubes with the beads might pinch your idea. Good luck.

Good luck Wynfield, got my jars ready, 67 beads don't look too bad in the jar, my son has popped a note in the empty one 'You can do it' so I am passing the message on to you too.

Thanks Lorraine-May,I have a lot more to loose than you going on a hunt for 195 beads so your 67 beads should soon be on the move.Good luck it,s soo nice you have your son encouraging you.

Keep in touch.

Welcome, I hope you find what you need in this community. Start by dowloading an app on your phone to keep track of calories (Fat Secret, My Fitness Pal...), it's a great aid! Good luck!
