I have found it easier to eat healthily and take exercise since I retired. No more rushed meals, there is now time to plan and cook properly, and try out new things. There are more opportunities to get out and about in the fresh air, and time for walking (or running). It may be tempting to sit around a lot to start with, perhaps start looking around now for activities to do in the day. Hopefully you are in an area were you can take part in activities that will stimulate both your mind and body.

thank you for that positive reply yes i feel its a new time definitely..... finally come to terms with my menopause too thats not been helpful to the weight loss plan! but yes new horizons we have a little campervan room for our bikes we want to get around europe bit by bit or rent out our house and do it full-time not quite decided just yet? so will get fitter and leaner with activity because now im older dieting alone dosent seem to work!
Good luck. I retired last year and as we live in a prime tourist area, I decided to take in holiday guests for 2-3 days a week, the preparation keeps me busy, the extra income tops up our personal travel fund, and I meet sone charming guests from all over the world. But it also gives me plenty of free time for walking and my health has already imoroved...lower BP and losing weight. So enjoy your "troisieme age" , I highly recommend it!
