hi, I am new here and hope to understand reason for my neuropathy first let me say that I have been taking omeprazole for many years due to history of barretts esophagus. I had ablation so I no longer have but still need omeprazole for gerd.

neuropathy stated in my feet 2 years ago and has now progressed to my legs. My feet are numb and the numbness is worse when lying down. I have been to 2 neurologists. Was told becuase my b12 was low and have history of hashimatos disease. My b12 level is now normal. I take it sublingual and am taking levothyroxine. Last tsh level was 5.4. The other neurologist told my that he could not dignois me. He ordered mri of back which showed nothing. He started me on gabapentin but that did not work. I do not have any pain anymore. My legs feel very tight and my feet feel like I have lumps on the ball of my feet.

Any help will be appreciated. I am taking levothyroxine 25 mg, b12 1000mg daily and vitamin d 5000 sublingual daily. my vitamin d level is 23.8

Thank you

I too have neuropathy and take omeprazole for esophagus problem (Schatzki ring). My B12 was low also, and take supplement. Fortunately Gabapentin is working for me. Have 2 neuropathy conditions, peripheral of ankles and Hereditary Motor Sensory.

I have the same numbness symptoms, tight legs, and the feeling of walking on lumps. My numbness is all the way up to my waist and my hands and arms up to my elbows all as a result of b12 deficiency/PA. I was also diagnosed with subacute combined degeneration of my cervical spine. 2 years of b12 twice a week with no improvement with my neuropathy.

Be careful with b6. My neurologist said stop it but must food has b6.

I too am suffering with Neuropathy in my feet & legs.I take Duloxetine which is Cymbalta & gabapentin. It was helping but now I am in horrible pain. The dr. wants me to get a spinal cord stimulator but there are too many people that say it does not work. I see the dr. on Mon. & see if he can come up with something else.

Hope you get some relief.

I have using topical creams like magnesium & rubbing it in & it helps a little.

I also heard Vicks helps.

I take real hot baths & it relieves the pain while I am in there.

I wish you the best.

God bless

I have neuropathy in my hands. Take B12 sublingually and get shot once a month. Take gabapentin at bedtime. Helps me sleep. I would like to take it during the day but it knocks me out. So annoying! Lol!
