'cold' 'wet' feet

I had some kind of ankle injury and consultant thinks it's ligament damage. But since doing the ankle stretching exercises (and before then a bit) my foot on the sole constantly feels cold and sort of wet as if my sock is wet when it's not. I think the consultant has missed some kind of nerve damage. I'm seeing them again next week and I'll ask about it. I'm terrified to do anything. I have not been able to walk at all for three months and now I'm scared that the physio I have been doing actually made it worse.I'm not asking this group for medical advice, I know that's not allowed.

But is this 'wet' foot feeling sound familiar to anyone?
