Anyone with anterior placenta?

Had a scan at 17 weeks and now 19 weeks (second baby) I don't feel anything... Then looked at my last scan 17 weeks it was private and noticed on well being it says placenta location is anterior.. anyone else with this? And did it change at 20 week scan?

I had it. It’s quite common and just means you might not feel movement as soon as someone without one. Mine didn’t move through pregnancy. I didn’t feel anything until about 22 weeks

Thanks with my little girl I felt her move.. some days I just feel like is he okay... I can't wait till I feel him move..

I’ve got an anterior placenta and took until about 21 weeks to feel first movements. It just means your placenta is located at the front so it’s basically a big cushion for your baby’s kicks so takes longer to feel them ☺️ Xx

Yeah mine is anterior. Was shown on 16 week scan, baby was kissing it lol. At 29 week scan it had loved much higher and felt kicks from 19 weeks xx

I felt first movements at 20 weeks so don’t panic! But could still be later for you. Everyone is different x

I've also got an anterior placenta, i was so emotional when I found out as I thought i wouldn't be able to feel movements etc but it is really common. I felt movement almost like a vibration at week 21 but they do get stronger. Sometimes for me (im 34 weeks) its more swishing than kicking but I definitely feel her moving regularly, don't worry you will too.

I could be wrong but I think once you have an anterior it doesn't change positions (but I could be wrong) x

Its common. I had it and didn't feel movement till 21 weeks but deffo felt them 😂

Had it with all three pregnancies. Just can't feel movement till later on in pregnancy. Doesn't affect the birth in anyway.

Anterior placenta are actually more common than posterior. And more common with girls than boys, apparently.

I had one with my fourth (my only girl) and although I felt movements much later (19ish weeks) it made no other difference to pregnancy or birth x

Hey! I had one and like many of the Mums here in don’t feel anything til about 22 weeks so please don’t worry just be vigilant and if you are concerned that you haven’t felt anything for a while once you do start feeling movements then always call the midwife. In my experience they were always very helpful. On the plus side I was able to sleep a lot better than Mums without an anterior placenta as I wasn’t woken during the night with kicks in my abdomen. Was a godsend!
