We would like to go to growth scan. When is good to go? I am now 24+3. We would like to know estimated due date. Will they tell us at growth scan or will they go with the NHS dating scan week?

Your due date will not change. As for when best to get a growth scan - it all depends on whether you are expecting to run in to problems that would affect babies growth and what these problems might be.

If you just want a sneaky peak at bubba, around 28 weeks is good - although you won't get a nice pic of all your baby, as (s)he will be too big :-)

My last scan, two weeks yesterday, was amazing, you could only just get Samuel's head in shot :-D

Thank for the reply. Do you have any idea how to learn the due date? Maybe it can change after 12.

12 week scan usually is dating scan, you should have had another around 20wks and if it was going to change that would be when, mine changed by a day, they are usually accurate, doesn't mean that's when your baby will decide to arrive of course :)

your due date shouldn't change and unless there is problems there is no need to give u a different date and they should of told u the date at 12 weeks anyway. And all the people I know that have had babies (naturally) have never had them on the due date anyway. if you need a growth scan for medical reasons then ur midwife would of possibly arrange this for u as mine did.

I want to have the scan for no medical reason. I will go private.

Early scans (ie: first trimester) are the most accurate for due dates, the earlier the better.

That's because babies are roughly all the same size when that little, later on you get 'deviation' in how they grow and the scan gives you a due date according to the measurement from baby's head (crown) to their tail-bone (rump), this is called the crown-rump measurement

You mean the due date will not change after 12 week scan.
