I have Dermatomyositis & take another anticoagulant (Rivaroxaban) and it does not effect the Myositis. However since warfarin is an old type of anticoagulant & your at higher risk of injury to falls you may want to discuss with your doctor moving to the new generation of anticoagulant (such as Rivaroxaban) which leaves your system far faster within 24 hours in case you needed surgury for an injury. I would also add, I was originally on warfarin in my 20's due to PE (lung clots) for a few years then stopped, I found I had far more side effects on warfarin, such as severe bruising, compared to my experience of Rivaroxaban that I started in my 40's for 40cm DVT (& now on for life).
