Hi Family....

49 year old black man diagnosed with MS in my early twenties. Fatigue, relapses, depression/feeling hopeless/worthless are all apart of this journey. That's what it is, but that doesn't have to be who we are! Give yourself some Grace as you go forth. Life be lifing...

PS. And turn off the news! 😜😀🙏✌️

Be encouraged!

Hi drumbugg! Thanks so much for the reminder. I've had a couple of weeks of ups and downs, fighting the blues, and feeling a bit overwhelmed. I actually took your advice and turned off the news for a few weeks. It actually made a big difference in my mood! You are so right that we need to give ourselves some Grace. Take care. 🤗

Yes….. indeed “life be lifting” - right now; I am listening to Boney James, then maybe a little Quincy Jones! I’ll top it off with Lala Hathaway, who my hubby got us tix’s to see at the Berks County Jazz Fest in (3) weeks! Morning prayer 🙏 is my real “Super Power .” Be encouraged and hopeful, prayerfully “ this too shall pass.” Troubles Don’t Last Always

Welcome to our group! I watch mostly local news as the mess in DC is rarely on.

Just because you don't watch it doesn't mean it goes away

I get stories, once in awhile. Every day makes me too depressed. My depression meds have already been doubled. I read the paper. Take in what I can, and skip when I'm overwhelmed. I do my bit by calling our congress people after hours so I can leave messages. I can't get through during the day.

Absolutely. Life will ayways go on. Just what you allow in can either add to or make your stress worse. 👍

I know exactly how your feeling it took me 7 years to get out of that funk. First to start I'm on Ritalin for the fatigue. I take two forms 1 is an extended release 2 is immediate release. I take both when I wake up and it last until about 2:30 pm and I retake the immediate release again witch takes me until bed time at 7:30-8:00 pm. You may want to research that with your Doctor. Depression I addressed with a MS psychologist and meds. She taught me to accept every day no matter how it goes. Once you gain that acceptance you'll feel better
