Really good article thanks hon!
Thank you for sharing. I haven’t had any virus, mine is genetic. There are 5 close family members who have MS. And thats just the alive relatives!
Interesting, thanks. EBV has been linked to several AI conditions, many with a neurological element, so you can't help but wonder if the same myelin damage is happening - and why no-one is using vit B12 to help offset that damage and facilitate as much repair as possible.
Great article, so interesting. And lots to bring hope at the end. Thanks!
Hi BettysMom, and thanks for sharing. There have been links to EBV and Mono and M.S. for quite a while. I had a nasty case of Mono as a teen and often thought that's what may have triggered my M.S. Years ago, I was in an in-person support group where the question came up about how many of us at the meeting ever had Mono and almost everyone raised their hand. It really makes one think. Appreciate your posting this article. 🤗
Yes, it has long been suspected that the EB virus is linked to MS. But this study found a possible mechanism by which EBV may cause the myelin damage in MS. And yes, many people who have MS will recall having mononucleosis. Since it is estimated that 95% of the world's population has been infected with EBV, this is not surprising. Of course, not everyone who is infected has symptoms and not everyone with symptoms has been diagnosed with mono.
