I want to thank everyone for their kind words. Power was restored yesterday afternoon to our street. We can now leave our home. Can’t thank the line men enough.

Absolutely brilliant news 👏 I remember a few years ago when our electricity had gone out at some point during the night 😢 my stairlift making a warning sound, and people's house alarms going off woke me up. I had to boil water in a milk pan for our morning brews! I couldn't even switch the lights on 😱 called up the electricity company, and was informed that the backup box in the area had gone out, but they're sending electricians out to sort it 😢 thank God we have torches on our phones, and I was more mobile then. Hubby can sleep through ANYTHING, so he missed it ALL until he woke up 🙄😒 obviously came back on later in the day, but still 🤷‍♀️Thankfully not had any outages since then, but it's always handy to have a milk pan, gas hobs, and a lighter to light the gas.
