Well I had the MRI this morning. To be honest I was in a lot of pain with the plexopathy and found it difficult to stay still during the scan. I developed pins and needles during it too in my right hand. I'm also suffering vertigo so felt incrediblynauseous when i laid down and got up slowly from the scanner, basically felt absolutely awful. Anyway I received an appointment to see the Neurologist again on 3rd of June so hopefully find out the results then but it may not be that quick with the NHS being the way it is currently I did have an original appointment booked for March 2025, so I'm a bit shocked really with the face 2 face on the 3rd at 8am.
I definitely need another course of steroids or something more suitable long term as my mobility is getting worse, I can hardly stand or walk on bad days at the minute. I'm really hoping it's nothing sinister or MS but something is definitely off. I'll let people know the outcome after seeing the consultant in a couple of weeks.

hi Viklou, can’t offer you any advice but I wanted to send you healing hugs and hope they can come up with something to help you, you are certainly going through it. Take care and please let me know how things go,
I’ll be praying for you and hope you start to feel better soon ❤️🩹🙏. I too have a hard time with MRI’s because I have “low blood pressure “ and lying down without my head being elevated is nightmare. Glad your appointment is sooner, hopefully you’ll get the answers you need! Blessings and Peace
So sorry that you are going through this. Vertigo is never good and when laying down is horrible. I try to make sure to get up slowly from the MRI bed or I am definatley going to get dizzy. Keep us updated when you can.
I suffer from extreme vertigo every day and fall on a regular basis. Steroids will help for an exacerbation but not a long term solution. I would like to be able to take Prednisone everyday, but the DR is not allowed to prescribe it that way.
My solution to combat the dizziness is taking 75 mg of Meclizine as well as Valium as zone as I get up and it last for about four hrs. Then rinse repeat lol and do it again.
It knocks me out by the end of the day and I am in bed around 7 pm. It's not the best but at least I have accomplished something that day.
I've found some information out after seeing a consultant in the pain clinic. He said I have serious stenosis at L5 and a T2 hyperintensity at L1 of unknown significance. I may need surgery on my back!!!Been told off two different consultants that my issue isn't surgical.
Anyway I have an appointment with the Neurologist on Monday, so hopefully I may get them results of my brain scan then.
My question is going to be what is the hyperintensity at L1, could this be a lesion of some kind. I haven't had a cervical/thoracic MRI but wondered if lesions can form in the lumber part of your back?
Update on scan and there are no lesions in my brain but the T2 hyperintensity at L1 is a lesion of unknown significance. He did suggest it could of been like an MS lesion but with the brain scan being clear, he doesn't think it's MS thankfully. Thank you everyone for you comments. Yes I have some co-ordination issues and problems with vertigo in which I need to get my crystals in balance. The problems with my lower spine are being looked at by a spinal surgeon with a view of some steroid injections rather than surgery at the minute which is good news.
