Are you an honorably discharged Veteran w/ Multiple Sclerosis? Are you a member of the Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA)? You should be!

The PVA was founded in 1946 and just doesn't focus on Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) but also on Spinal Cord Diseases (SCD) & that's where our MS fits in. A little over a year ago a couple of PVA members w/ MS started an AD HOC committee to focus specifically on MS. Over the past year we have accomplished much. We successfully had a resolution passed at our national convention last year that opened up membership to ALL Vets w/ MS (previously they were gate-keeping and you had to display spinal cord activity).

Did you know the very first President of the PVA, Gilford Moss, ACTUALLY HAD MS!?!

Our MS Committee is now an official standing committee with National. We have created relationships w/ MSAA, CMSC, NMSSA, CanDoMS, VA MS COEs & more. AND 1/4 OF NATIONAL PVA MEMBERSHIP IS ACTUALLY VETS W/ MS!!! In addition to our standing committee we have MS leads at each of our 33 chapters, these leads manage their individual chapter's MS program.

We are the only VSO (Veteran Service Org.) who focuses on Spinal Cord Injury and Disease, or specifically MS. We have 70-something full-time service officers who will help you with your VA claim.

Not in a wheelchair? Me either, doesn't matter. You're a Vet... You have MS... YOU'RE IN.

Denied membership previously because you didn't exhibit Spinal Cord activity? We fixed that!

MS isn't service-connected with the VA? Let's try and change that! Go back through your medical records w/ our Svc. Officers and let's give it a shot.

Want to increase your VA rating? Let's do it! We'll get you in touch with our Svc. Officers.

Did you know there's a 7 year presumption of Service Connection w/ the VA from the date of your ETS?!?

Outside that window? We're not done, we will just need to do a little homework is all. Membership is free. Representation is free.

MS is rated at 30%, the end? Not true! We can fix that!

If you're a Vet. w/ MS please consider joining today. We would love where EVERY Veteran w/ MS is a PVA member & receiving VA benefits & free healthcare. There's strength in numbers and we're only getting stronger. We have Chapter Officers and National Directors w/ MS, YOU have representation.

MS + VET = PVA

Ps. Joining the PVA doesn't prevent you from belonging or participating in any other MS Org. YOU CAN DO BOTH! We're just focusing on the Veteran and VA side of things.
