Jimeka,
When we lose someone as close as Neil was to you, the love of your life, the father of your children, the center of your existence and your partner through thick and thin you have to realize they are never father than a memory away. Take my simple poem to heart and I hope it helps you through the rough days ahead.
When the day has been overwhelming and you're tired to the bone, then a sudden a gentle motion crosses your forehead refreshing you it will be Neil there brushing your brow with his gentle touch to refresh you and give you the strength you need to go on.
When a memory from yesteryear seems to be so elusive that you can't see faces of your beloved then suddenly the face of Neil comes in to sharp focus and reaches out to It's Neil sending you a crystal clear version of the vision that alluded you.
When your grandkids become loud and rowdy and you seem at your wits end of how to settle them down and deal with their behavior it's Neil's voice that whispers in your ear with a simple solution that you had forgotten about.
When a problem has plagued you throughout the day and no matter how hard you try to look at it different ways a solution evades you for hours on end. Then suddenly out of the blue and answer comes to you in sharp detail that you would never have thought of by yourself and you realize it's Neil helping you to solve the problem.
The pressure on your shoulder, the breeze across your lips, the squeeze sensation on your hand are all Neil reaching out to touch you, to love you, to tell you hes never far away. Rejoice in the memories, relive the good times and realize as long as you do that he will never be farther than a memory away. Smile when you think of Neil and I pray you smile often. Fancy59.
