Hello everybody! I’m recovering from Covid, a hospital stay and a rehab stay that was nothing short of a living nightmare.
Got the booster shot on the Monday before Thanksgiving, legs went out on Tuesday and Mom called 911.
I’ve been wearing a mas since 2/15/20. Only going out to Dr appts and the move from SC to NJ. Very careful and diligent.
Stayed in hospital until the following Tuesday. Was checked into a rehab place to get stronger. They took my mask , lied about masks being locked up so I had no mask for the night. Let alone very little water. The gave me some three bean salad in the afternoon. That was it.
In the hospital I was on a gurney for 20 hours in ER. No food or water. Great for MS.
The last straw was rehab left me in a wet bed for 2 1/2 hours, ignoring my yelling for help and pushing the call button.
Mom and a friend got me out, but mom and I got Covid. Mom is 83. The story goes on and on….
What got me to this point is tons of prayers and praying the rosary.
Sorry to jump all over the place. I’m trying to get back on track.
Rehab place has 8 staff members with Covid and countless inmates (oops, patients) with Covid. They will be reported and hopefully shut down.

oh no! How awful that the very folks who are supposed to help you did harm instead 😡 please keep a paper trail and report all you can. And truly grateful to hear that prayers kept you going. Lifting up one for you now. 🙏🏼
So sorry to hear about everything that happened to you. That definitely sounds like a nightmare experience. Definitely report them to your state licensing agency. Find the number for your state and tell them you want to file a complaint. Your state agency covers state and federal regulations.
i'm sorry you went through that. i hate it when hospitals and medical facilities that exist to heal us make us worse. i'm glad you're reporting it. i hope they get shut down or at minimum a thorough clean and all the current staff fired.
i'm so sorry your mom got covid as well. i hope you're both healing.🤗
Sorry for your awful experience. Glad you are reporting to state re rehab place.no excuse for that.hope mom ok. Hang in there & keep saying your rosary.
I can’t wait until I am feeling well enoughtomaking rosaries again. One of the nurses aides saw me praying with my pair and asked me to make her a pair!😊
I am so sorry to hear about your experience. I landed in the hospital for 5 days bc the virus caused a major flare up. Standard treatment was 5 days of 10 steroid infusions in hospital. I also had to call 911 bc I became paralyzed. Where are you located? I was very blessed to be treated so well during my stay. I am very paranoid about getting a booster before my next Ocrevus infusion bc the boosters always affect my legs. I hope you are doing better. 🙏🙏🙏 I understand how scary this can be.
oh my what a way to spend your Thanksgiving ...so sorry ...prayers for both of you and may you feel much better and getting better care ...wow this is terrible...love and many many prayers and blessings for both of you ...
Sagesewer, It's Fancy59. I hate to hear everything you went through it sounds like a nightmare. I had very similar experience at rehab I was in for 2 weeks after the blood infection I had back the 1st part of September. They all seem to be short staffed and to lack care for the patient especially at night. I noticed the staff came through about 5 AM and got everybody cleaned up and dry so that when the 6 AM Shift came on they look good. My pet peeve was that they left every light in the room on 3 nights in a row and I got little to no sleep. Finally on the 3rd night I actually screamed at the top of my voice to get their attention. Nothing happened. I waited another minute or so and screamed a second time. Well that brought A stampede to my room so I Filed it away and knew that they understood that people needed help after 11 PM and they had better start checking the halls At night.
Is it possible that after you've got the vaccination you're exposed to someone who had covid? It takes approximately 2 weeks for the covid vaccine to get into bloodstream to give you protection. I guess I'm lucky because vaccinations never bother me and I never feel ill or sick after I get them. I'm simply a tough old broad! Fancy59.
