Put a large spider on your leg

and you will find out just how fast you can move.

I freaked out and jumped out of my chair like a rocket! I still can't believe it and it felt great!

and I thought I was done moving like that.:D

I did however, make my hub late for work as he had to hunt it down and help me clean up the coffee all over the floor :D

I ope that you didn’t burn yourself with the coffee, but great to hear that you can still move if needed πŸ‘πŸ•·

Nope, thanks.

I moved so fast that flying coffee couldn't touch me!

My hub came home for lunch & the first thing out of his mouth was a comment on my speed.πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

🀣 thanks for the good laugh! Spiders freak me out too. Every once in awhile I get one, usually find them in the bathroom. Quarter size, huge. Good thing your husband found him, you would have been creeped out all day.

falalalala profile image
falalalalaβ€’ in reply toHumbrd

Exactly! This one was about the size of a quarter.

I think I posted about this before but the worst one was a Brazilian Wandering Spider that was hiding in some bananas my husband brought home. OMG

It's a good thing you moved fast so it didn't bite you. Hope you found it. Spiders are only good for making pretty webs to take pictures of. I'm sure there are a couple that are good for eating other bugs, but they need to stay outside. We get a lot of spiders here this time of year. There is a big garden spider on my back porch that has made the coolest web. It's one of those big orb ones.

falalalalaβ€’ in reply tohairbrain4

My hub found it :)

I have had the strangest things come into my house over the years (relatives don't count)

Birds, different bugs, stinkbugs being one of thee worst, snapping turtlebaby, frogs.hundreds of baby grasshoppers all at once 🀣 a dog I didn't know and a bat. I locked myself in the bathroom when that happened.

It may seem that I live in a cave but I really don't.🀣

hairbrain4 profile image
hairbrain4β€’ in reply tofalalalala

That's crazy. I guess you need to take up the WELCOME mat cuz they seem to take it seriously! We get different critters in our house too. We almost had a cottonmouth in the house one day! Luckily the dog found it first & didn't get bit. We get mice, pack rats, opossums, many varieties of winged and nonwinged bugs, box turtles & rabbits in our house too.🀣

falalalala profile image
falalalalaβ€’ in reply tohairbrain4

Possums? Yikes!πŸ˜…

I forgot about the mouse we had. Grem, our cat just sniffed it.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

hairbrain4 profile image
hairbrain4β€’ in reply tofalalalala

Actually the Pack Rat was worse than the possum, it was just scared but the pack rat was just plain mean! Jack, our dog went nuts, he would have caught it if he could have gotten to it. We did have a dog that caught mice & bird. She was a doberbman/lab mix. You wouldn't think she could move that fast cuz she was a big dog at 98lbs. I bet Grem decided it wasn't worth the trouble & you probably wouldn't like it anyway 🀣

falalalala profile image
falalalalaβ€’ in reply tocarolek572

They are the cuddliest of all the spiders due to their fur coats so I'd say you're lucky.πŸ˜‚

Nope! Not buying that, no matter how cuddly they are! :-D

Sorry you had to find out like this.. The "flight or fight" response is universal. haha Guess those receptors found a new pathway really quick!!!! 😱😱

falalalala profile image
falalalalaβ€’ in reply toMsBoo

Now I am wondering if they've been faking this whole time.πŸ˜‚

MsBoo profile image

They say that they find "work rounds" . I remember early in my travels with MS that what stopped working, started working again. Not that the myelin was repaired, but that it found a different path to make it work..

I suck up the big ones in the vacuum cleaner, followed by Raid being sprayed in the hose with it still on so the Raid gets sucked into the bags!

i use the same spray, Raid. I could do a TV commercial for them. I hate bugs. 🐜πŸͺ²πŸ˜¨

I have to admit that I like spiders,. I usually pick them up in a tissue (Kleenex) and take them outside, where they belong! Now, a snake of any color or variety is a different matter. If one of those fell on my leg, I might run a hundred meter dash!

I had a friend that used to do the same thing.

She had a heart of gold :)
