Hi glad to have found this group !! I was diagnosed in 2019 at age 50-
Went to the hospital thinking I was having a stroke which turned out to be seizures, I was diagnosed with epilepsy and when I got an MRI is when they finally diagnosed me with RRMS- my neurologist quickly put me on Ocrevus and my MRI’s so far are stable ..
My neurologist also believes I have had MS for decades and I remember off symptoms throughout my life since my teen years but definitely In my 20’s and beyond
I have mobility issues I use a cane or forearm crutches- burning, numbness, weakness but only on the right side of my body - maintaining a good balanced diet along with strength training and exercise as much as my fatigue allows.
Been pretty depressed lately and considering seeing someone for that as well . Just wanted to introduce myself 😊

Hi StephMS! Welcome to the group! Depression and MS go hand in hand. The key is that you recognize you’re feeling depressed. Be sure to talk to your Dr about it. There is medicine to help you feel better!
I like to think of MS as a road with many curves and speed bumps. Depression is one of the speed bumps!
This group is fantastic! They offer a plethora of information!
We are glad you found the group! This is a great place for support, information, or if you are frustrated & just need to vent, but best of all it's a great place for laughs, which we need daily😀. I was diagnosed on my 50th birthday, which was in 2005. I've also most likely had MS since my teens as fatigue & depression were prevalent most of the time since then. I've learned to cope & accept my new role in life along with the aging process. The most important thing I have learned is to "Stop & adore the roses." In other words, take it slow & take care of yourself & enjoy God's beauty in the world, it makes it easier to handle all the bad stuff going on in the world.🤗
Welcome to the forum, StephMS love those socks! May I ask you what brand is your forearm crutch? I use one but I would like to use one that I can have ‘strapped’ to my arm so it doesn’t fall when I let go of it. In the meantime, visit mymsaa.org for lots of helpful ‘ms’ information. Keep Smiling
