Hi everyone! I was diagnosed with MS in 2009 after developing dizziness, visual changes, and taste changes. It was a real shock and a scary time for my family, especially since my daughters were 2 and 4 at the time, and I was running a new clinic for people without insurance. I'm a family doctor and health fanatic - I never expected to get sick. But as you all know, MS is random and unpredictable. I'd love to invite all of you to check out my new memoir, Up the Down Escalator: Medicine, Motherhood, and Multiple Sclerosis. It's available for preorder now, on Amazon and in all the usual places. Hopefully it will resonate with you. With wishes of good health,
Lisa Doggett

SandraKOE , every time I see a post from you, it throws me for a loop. My name is Sandy K Roe, so whenever I see your username, it think “I don’t remember posting that”. 🤣😂🤣.
Lol. When I see yours, it’s a mix. I think of course Texan, and then Andy. My minds kinda squirlly so then it goes to “Raggady Andy” but as a Texan. 🤪🤪🤣🤣😁 When you’re from Texas you just naturally see it in every thing.
I know…it’s confusing. I chose this user name when we moved to Texas from Missouri. I wanted to point out I was now a Texan (finally) and though it just flowed to add Sandy at the end, but to leave off the S.
Welcome, Lisa, to our family. As soon as I hit send on this message, I’m going to go buy your book! Wow! You’re an inspiration to all of us, especially newly diagnosed. I see so many newly diagnosed join who are acting as if the MS diagnosis is a death sentence, but you come on here having opened a clinic, raising 2 toddlers, and writing a book! I feel like such a slacker 🤣. Again, welcome!
Oh wow, thank you! I had a helluva time in the first few years after my diagnosis, but I also had great support. It's been quite a journey, as you'll see if you read my book! I hope you like it and find it helpful.
