Hi All,

In the US, March is MS Awareness month. I plan to spend this month in prayer, over myself - yes, and for all who are affected by MS. If you don't believe in a higher power, please be respectful and move on from these posts. But if you would like to, please read and join in with me in lifting up these things. My goal is to post once a day for this month.

blessings,

Laurie

Dear God,

Thank you for this new day. Today, I pray for all of us who have MS and have had our speech affected. I notice it occasionally for myself, mostly at night time, that my speech becomes a little slurred. It's frustrating and I just want to speak as I always have. I feel embarrassed and just want to speak less. But I thank you that I can speak at all. Thank you for the voices we do have. Please bring relief from this frustrating symptom many of us have.

I pray for all of us and our communication, too. I confess that even when my speech is not slurred, I don't always speak kind and loving things to others. I yell at my kids. I complain. And while it's healthy to vent in some ways, it can become overbearing at some tipping point. So I pray for us all to speak life, to speak truth, to speak encouraging words to others and over ourselves, too. Please help caregivers to be patient with us who have a difficult time remembering things and speaking clearly. Help us to advocate for ourselves and tell our doctors and health providers how we are doing and what we need. Help me to speak Scripture over myself and be reminded of what you have declared over your people. Thank you God for your promises. Help me to use my voice in a life-giving way, in a way that pleases you.

In Jesus' name, amen

What I don’t like Lord, is when people finish your sentences off for you or try to put the right words in your mouth. Give us the patience not to snap at them and be thankful they are trying to help you, but it is awful feeling like a child again, blessings Jimeka

Hi hope and grace I also am a christian I am a child of the living God, & He is wonderful! I don't have the speech problem right now but I have had it in the past. I mostly have vision problems, seeing double side by side & over the top. Right now it is a combination slightly slanted. I have remitting, relapsing 28 years this month. As March is MS awareness month I appreciate your prayers for all MSers. God bless you & your family. Mary

What a powerful word. I will continue to speak life over myself daily. Believing for God’s healing daily🙏🏾
