Hi All,
In the US, March is MS Awareness month. I plan to spend this month in prayer, over myself - yes, and for all who are affected by MS. If you don't believe in a higher power, please be respectful and move on from these posts. But if you would like to, please read and join in with me in lifting up these things. My goal is to post once a day for this month.
blessings,
Laurie

Dear Father,
Thank you for this new day to live. I pray and ask that you help me to hear your voice and do the things that you want me to do, even if it's inconvenient or not easy for me. Today, I pray again over my stiffness. Oh Lord, stretching and being flexible is more difficult than ever. Even with lots of stretching, there isn't much relief - the stiffness remains and doesn't "loosen up" for me and it's frustrating. So I pray for all of us with MS who have stiffness and have difficulty being flexible that you would help us. I pray that you would restore us and help our muscles to not be so tight.
Too, I know that it's not just our physical bodies that need flexibility - I pray for all of us with MS and that you would help us to be flexible in our minds. May we let go of busy schedules and be willing to say "no" to accepting a party invitation or another task at work or whatever it may be so that we can have more flex space, more time, more availability to pause. Too, help us to be ready when something comes up - an available doctor appointment, an unexpected phone call from a friend who needs to talk, my own kiddo really wanting to share with me a funny joke that he heard today, etc. Help me to let go of my own plans sometimes and be open. Help me to not stubbornly hold onto my pride. I believe that your plans are better than my own. Help me to really trust you in that. None of us planned on having MS. But I believe that you still love us, Lord. Please bring healing to us. Please help me to be flexible and ready to do what you want me to do.
In Jesus' name, amen
