I have been trying to build new pathways from my brain to my legs. Learning about neuro plasticity and different exercises has my hopes up for a better tomorrow. Could it be possible for the brain to ignore the roadblocks of damaged myelin and learn to go around them with repetitive exercises? This is what the buzz is about. I have had MS for 17 years and so many muscles are weak, such as my hip flexors, but I am trying and know it will take a lot of time and effort. It really could be worse, though. I have also been massaging an area right above the kneecap and an area on my hamstrings in hopes of it helps me bend my knees more. Anyhow, has anyone else tried doing anything like this? I am interested in your feedback.

Does anyone try consistently lifting their feet off the floor when sitting?
Keep going. I have tried with my left hand, and I can now do most things. I am naturally right handed but the ms took over my right hand. I have since learnt how to write, eat, butter bread, all with my left hand, so I think yes, new pathways are a possibility. 👍 😊
I haven’t heard of this but sounds like it’s worth trying! I think some music will help with doing the repetitive movements. Blessings to you!
i've not heard of this, but i hope you see results soon. let us know!
Perhaps physical therapy could be helpful?
I tried the MS Gym and tried retraining but quit the Gym for I had another issue. I try to exercise my legs whenever I think about ìt.
I went to PT at one hospital and then found out that my insurance refused to pay for it.. but in one session they gave me was to extend my lower leg straight out in the sitting position, to strengthen my knees.. and point toes and then pull them up as far as I could.. 10 times each.. and believe it or not.. my knees were more solid after 3 weeks of doing these sets 2 times a day.. and my foot drop was better also..
I fully believe that we can do a work around for problems.. I've had it work before..
Keep on it.. let us know how it goes for you
Have a Merry Christmas.. or whatever you celebrate at this time of year..
