These were not powerful at all. They shot a piece of potato 🥔 about twice the size of a pea. About like a rubber band off your finger. Was cheap entertainment and there’s plenty of spuds 🥔 here 😆🤣🤪🐾🐾

That doesn't look like the potato gun we built in 6th grade science class. Ours shot whole potatoes out of the gun. We took them out to the football field after painting our names on the potatoes and had competitions to see who's potato went the furthest and separate one for accuracy. Winner got a Hershey chocolate bar. Alas I was not the winner for the furthest distance.😪 I did win for accuracy of shooting though and got a Hershey chocolate bar.😊

I haven't shot any of mine, yes, I said any. Years ago we got into a potato gun thing up north at our campground in the middle of the woods. I finalized/designed 3 with many alterations. One using 2" pipe, one using 1-1/2" pipe, and "speedy" using 1-1/4" pipe. Various barrel lengths, ignition chambers. Velocities, distances, and accuracies at various distances measured. They had all been optimized like a true engineer would do. Also, Ignition methods. (Push button piezo ignition was an easy decision). And hairspray type as well as potato type. All optimized for maximum distance, accuracy, or stopping power. No, no person or animal was ever even the target or accidentally shot, but at one point I got a large, ugly green, live golf cart that was trespassing across our target range! (No persons on board when shot). Hung it from one very big pine tree like a trophy! Let's see, now living in an urban suburb, if I tried one today in the backyard, how long would it take till a swarm of local cops with real guns would be swarming all over? Let's see, my neighbor friend is one. He'd probably want to try it. The rest....not the same reaction. M.S. may have affected my brain in many ways, but stupidity? I may have to struggle these days to write a post, or remember what I made for dinner from scratch last night using many post its and lots of time.... Nope, they'll sit in the basement in their "gun rack" as a happy memory reminder, probably never to be fired again. But thanks for refreshing my memory! I still have one!!!
