This place has a diverse list of ongoing projects. Many looked fun and easy like looking at photos from webcams and identifying animals, transcribing war journals, and looking for things in space photos.

Iona60 That is a great one. Another is FMSC, Stands for feed my starving children. The feed people in dozens of countries including American Indians here and the victims of Katrina. 90% of all money actually goes to food and getting the food to the people that need it. It is rated one of the top rated charities in the US by the BBB. The website is FMSC.ORG There are not many place to volunteer, but give it a shot. You can do everything from packing the food to running the store in the packing center to labeling the packages. That is what I do. Put stickers on the packages. Check out The above idea too. Great ideas all around!

I'm trying the Elephant Expedition Iona60
Elephants are my favorites and the location looks like my favorite trip to Africa. What are you identifying?
Iona60 or others interested...
I actually have 2 new (additional) volunteer projects I've enlisted in.
1 is Neighbor Networks(NN)It was started by a friend of mine and involves doing things to allow elders to stay in their homes. So volunteers can transport an elder to a doctor's appt., help them with organizing closets, grocery shop, help them with pets...or what I will be offering, spending time on friendly visits or reading to them. They also have group outings for the elder members to plays, museums etc.
NN is based on a Villages concept developed in the Beacon Hill area of Boston. There are similar throughout the country.
The other is called Reading Pals and won't start until the fall. It involves being assigned to a child in a pre-school and reading with them once a week. This is through the Florida United Way.
There may be similar organizations in your areas?
There's so many wonderful things out there to do! 💕
I'm going to add this to the other one's I have, Iona60 If that's alright?😊 And if I can find them 😕
