My little critters are keeping me going too; but not as exciting as American ground hogs and bunnies and the like.
Just a very friendly grey squirrel (who comes into the kitchen if I’m not quick enough with brekkie) a shy, manky magpie and an equally cheeky Robin.
They are characters ! I did a bit of reasearch about magpies wow interesting! The Celtic goddess of wars’ power animal was a magpie....

I love a particular northern mockingbird that has a nest near my apartment complex.
A particular neighbor in the building next door to mine used to play loud obnoxious noise...I mean music...in the early afternoon. Well this mockingbird didn't like his taste in music anymore than I did and had had enough of it . Everytime that neighbor played his music, that bird would wait until all the lights were turned off in that apartment and then perch his happy butt on the appropriate balcony and the repeatedly go through his entire repertoire of sounds he knew how to make for about 2-3 hours...non stop and as loud as he could. His repertoire includes 3 different car alarms and a fire alarm. We're talking from about 11pm until sometimes 2-3am. It took the neighbor about 5 times to get the hint about the unappreciated noise coming from his apartment in the afternoon. We don't have a noisy neighbor anymore.😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣👍👍👍👍🤣😂🤣😂🤣 I love that bird!

At our old house, a couple miles away, we had lots of squirrels. At the new house we hardly see them. So strange not to see them all over like we used to.
