I caught covid and covid pneumonia back at the end of February. I spent a week in the hospital and had to leave on oxygen. These tanks are so big it is hard to go anywhere with it and my walker. The doctors are saying that I will never get off of it but I keep telling them not to count me out just yet I'm not done fighting. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Oxygen Machine and tanks
Never give up hope 🙏
I'm sorry you've had such a struggle. I see people with pretty small O2 units that make getting around pretty easy. You might ask for a referral to a respiratory therapist who could outfit you with something more portable. Keep going!
I have seen new ones that you wear on your hip as Fanny pack or backpack 🎒 style, maybe that’s available 🤞. Never give up 👍😉🤗 Ken 🐾🐾
So sorry you had covid and it resulted in needing oxygen. As said above there are many small portable tanks that you can take out of the house. My mother had an oxygen machine that plugged in, rather then large canisters, with a tubing long enough that it allowed her to access the entire first floor. You just need to be careful not to trip or get tangled in the tubing. She always had several lg cannisters on hand in case the power went out, and small ones for when she went out somewhere. I hope you find a solution that makes life easier.
I have covid right now, day 5. I received an infusion this morning that is supposed to keep it from developing into more serious covid that requires hospitalization, called Bamlanivimab. Did you receive this treatment?
I have two friends who have been on oxygen therapy for years. Both of them use portable, battery powered oxygen concentrators when they go out.
Oh my goodness! I am so sorry, but happy you are better! No ideas on the oxygen. Go luck with that.
why don't they give you one of those oxygen concentrator things that are small and easy to carry? insurance covers them
